Green Biotechnology
Understanding the similarities, differences and complementarities of plants and animals and how this understanding translates into technologies that impact agriculture and nutrition.
This course explores the foundations of green biotechnology: the essence of photosynthesis, classical plant genetics, cloning, crop improvement techniques, genetic modification of plants, different breeding techniques, and plants expression systems. It also shows how green biotechnology may impact drug discovery and production, nutrition, health prevention, environmental protection and even the fight against global warming.
